Virginia Women Fall to West Virginia

The Virginia Women's Soccer team lost its first game of the season Sunday in Morgantown, falling to the Mountaineers 3-0.

WVU got out to the early lead when Megan Mischler scored in the second minute of the game. The Mountaineers would take that one goal lead into the second half.

Their lead would double in the second half when WVU's Blake Miller scored in the 72nd minute. Moments later, the Mountaineers would put the game away when Mischler scored her second goal of the game in the 84th minute.

The Cavaliers fall to 6-1-1 on the year. They open up conference play on Thursday when they take on #8 Florida State in Tallahassee.
