The Saint Anne's Belfield football team held off a late St. Christopher's comeback attempt, taking the contest, 27-16. The two teams had their game suspended in the third quarter on Friday night and concluded it Monday afternoon.

Friday night saw STAB jump out to a 14-0 lead, and the Saints were leading 19-10 when the game was suspended. After they stopped St. Christopher's on its first drive today, the Saints drove nearly the length of the field to tack on a score. A two point conversion put STAB on top, 27-10.

St. Christopher's fired back, marching down the field and scoring on a Jackson Freeman two yard run, but STAB blocked the extra point attempt. On the ensuing drive, Saint Anne's fumbled on a third down conversion, turning the ball over in their own territory, but would recover a St. Christopher's fumble in the red zone to clinch the win.

The Saints now improve to 2-2 on the season, and have won two in a row. They'll travel to Virginia Episcopal this Friday and hope to climb above .500 on the year. Click on the above video link for highlights of today's action.
