Former Cavalier quarterback Peter Lalich is officially enrolled at Oregon State University and began classes today. Lalich will sit out the 2008 season, and, after he completes one academic year in Corvallis, will be eligible for the 2009 season.
Lalich joins the Beavers just eleven days after being dismissed by the Cavaliers. He was dismissed after admitting in court that he drank alcohol while on probation. The sophomore now makes his way to the Pac10 Conference, where he will aim to earn the starting job next season.
In two starts this season, Lalich completed 52 percent of his passes for 359 yards, no touchdowns, and three interceptions. He appeared in ten games during his career in a Virginia uniform.
