October 2nd High School Sports Wrap Up

The Western Albemarle volleyball team remained unbeaten in the Jefferson District, as the Warriors cruised to a 3-0 win over Louisa on Thursday night. Western is now 11-3 on the season overall, 7-0 in the Jefferson District. The Warriors head to William Monroe on Tuesday.

Speaking of the Dragons, they stayed hot on Western's heels, topping Charlottesville, 3-0. William Monroe improves to 11-4 on the year, 6-1 in district play. The Dragons will look to pull into a first place tie with Western Albemarle on Tuesday night, as they currently sit one game back in the district standings.

Covenant put up a fight against Liberty Christian, but could not pull out the win in private school action on Thursday night, as well.
