The Virginia women's soccer team downed Clemson 7-1 on Sunday, improving to 4-0-0 in the ACC.
Sinead Farrelly's hat trick, along with Maggie Kistner's goal in the 11th minute gave the Cavaliers a 4-0 cushion after the first half. But Virginia did not let up in the second half. Lauren Alwine, Meghan Lenczyk and Lindsey MIller all scored goals in the second half to build a 7-0 lead, but Virginia was unable to post the shutout, as Clemson's Molly Johnson scored just before the end of the game.
The Cavaliers improve to 10-1-1 overall. Up next is a trip to Blacksburg to take on rival Virginia Tech on Thursday night.
