Head coach Al Groh talked about the Cavaliers' big win over Maryland and discussed the East Carolina Pirates during his weekly interview on CBS19 News at Noon with CBS19's Marc Davis.
Groh began by discussing how his team has come along and evaluated the overall performance on Saturday. He then credited quarterback Marc Verica, who had his best performance of his young career, saying that the quarterback is responsible for all the good things that happened Saturday night. Groh also credited Cedric Peerman, who returned after missing the Duke game with a leg injury, and had nothing but good things to say about the defense as well.
The head coach also talked about East Carolina, a team that visits Scott Stadium on Saturday. ECU enters at 3-2, and coach Groh says that his team will prepare for the Pirate team that beat Virginia Tech and West Virginia, not for the one that lost to Houston on September 27.
