Virginia Field Hockey Falls to Penn State

The Virginia field hockey team fell to Penn State 1-0 in State College, PA on Sunday. The Cavaliers have now dropped their last three games.

Christine Dudek had the lone goal for the Nittany Lions in the first half and Goalie Jen Beaumont was able to keep the Cavaliers off the board the entire game. Beaumont recorded seven saves to hand UVa its second shutout loss of 2008.

The Cavaliers are now 10-5 on the season. They return home on Thursday to take on in-state foe Longwood. That game is slated to get underway at 6 pm.
