The Cavalier football team grabbed its third straight win this past Saturday, topping North Carolina, 16-13, in an overtime thriller. Cedric Peerman scored a touchdown to tie the game with 47 second remaining, and then scored the winning TD in the first overtime period to give Virginia the win.
During his weekly appearance on CBS19 News at Noon, Groh talked about the win. He spoke about his overall assessment of the performance, and talked about the play of both the Virginia and North Carolina defense. Groh also discussed Marc Verica's play, and how the Cavs kept the Tar Heels from any interceptions, as they came in leading the nation in the category.
Groh went on to talk about the ACC and how it is a very competitive conference, and touched on Saturday's match up with Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets run a different type of offense than the Cavaliers have seen, so Groh expects a challenge.
