The Cavalier men's soccer team opens up ACC Tournament play on Wednesday night, as fourth seeded Virginia takes on fifth seeded Duke in Cary, North Carolina. These two ACC foes have had some close battles in recent years.

The Blue Devils come in having won the last three match ups between the two teams, with all three matches having gone to at least one overtime. The latest came back on October 25 in Durham, where Duke topped Virginia, 1-0, on a penalty kick in the extra frame. Virginia enters with a 4-4 ACC record, while Duke is 3-3-2.

After a six game winning streak, the Cavaliers have fallen in four of their last six, and have had troubles with injuries. Freshmen Chris Agorsor and Tony Tchani will not be in the line up, after both suffered season ending knee injuries earlier in the season. Agorsor saw his season come to a close during the Cavaliers' win against Central Connecticut State on September 23, while Tchani's knee injury came on October 21 in a 2-2 tie with Longwood.

The Cavaliers and Blue Devils kick off at 8:00 on Wednesday night. With a win, Virginia would face either Wake Forest or NC State. Click on the above video link to hear from Virginia head coach George Gelnovatch.
