Albemarle Wins State Championship

November 15, 2008

The Albemarle High School girls' volleyball team has made school history, knocking off Westfield three games to one Saturday night to capture the school's first ever volleyball state title.

The Patriots took game one by a score of 27-25 and went on to win game two as well. But Westfield would not go down without a fight. The Bulldogs took game three, making it a one game Albemarle lead.

The Patriots would not be denied though. Albemarle would win game four to seal the deal. Congratulations to the Patriots on a season to remember.
