The Virginia women's soccer team outshot Duke 15-4, but the Blue Devils came out on top 2-0 in Saturday's NCAA 3rd round game at Klockner Stadium.
Duke got on the board first in the 17th minute when KayAnne Gummersall found the back of the net for her 14th goal of the season. The Blue Devils had a 1-0 lead at the half.
Virginia would have a couple chances in the second half but could not capitalize. In the 65th minute, the Blue Devils added some insurance when Elisabeth Redmond scored her 12th goal of the year.
