Despite out-shooting Connecticut, 11-6, the Cavalier men's soccer team saw its season come to an end, falling to the Huskies, 2-0, in NCAA Tournament second round action on Tuesday night. Virginia ends with a record of 11-9-1.

The Huskies only managed two shots on goal in the first half, but Dori Arad's header off a free kick put UConn up 1-0. After Virginia failed to capitalize on several chances, Connecticut added another goal in the 76th minute by Tony Cascio to close out the scoring. Virginia's Michael Giallombardo finished with two saves.

Virginia ends its season as ACC runners up, and made the NCAA Tournament for the 29th straight time, which marks the longest active streak in the nation.
