Mike Scott tallied his third double-double of the season with 17 points and 15 rebounds, as the Cavalier men's basketball team downed Hampton on Tuesday, 74-48. The victory improves Virginia's record to 5-4 heading into ACC play.
The Cavaliers came on strong, opening up the game on a 19-6 run, and led by eleven at the break. Virginia kept up its lead in the second half, and opened it up even more late in the game, cruising to the win. As a team, the Wahoos tallied ten blocks on the night.
Sammy Zeglinski and Jamil Tucker also finished the night with double figures in scoring. Zeglinski finished with eleven points to go along with a career high four steals, while Tucker added ten points. Sylven Landesberg did not score in double figures for the first time all season, as the freshman finished with nine points.
