The Cavalier Women's Basketball Team stormed its way to its eighth straight win, topping St. Francis, 82-66. The game marked Virginia's final non-conference tune-up prior to the tip off of ACC play.
The two teams were back and forth throughout the first half and were tied at 35 at the half. The second half was all Cavaliers, as Virginia outscored the Red Flash, 47-31, to cruise to the win. The victory also improved the Cavaliers' home record to 9-0 this season.
Monica Wright led all scorers with a game high 22 points. Aisha Mohammed posted a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds. Jayna Hartig and Lyndra Littles each chipped in nine points as well.
