Forward Enonge Stovall is no longer part of the Cavalier Women's Basketball Team, head coach Debbie Ryan announced Monday. According to a press release issued by UVa, the move is due to academic reasons.
Stovall appeared in 12 games this season, averaging 2.8 points and 4.6 rebounds per contest. She saw action in 54 games in her career as a Cavalier, starting seven contests. Her career numbers are 3.3 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.
This marks the second known academic related incident, as Lyndra Littles missed the first nine games of the season, after being ruled academically ineligible. She was declared eligible on December 18, and made her season debut that night against Monmouth.
