Charges Against a UVA Football Player Are Dismissed

January 15, 2008

Some news from Cavalier football, where Rashawn Jackson's grand larceny and breaking and entering charges have been dismissed.

Jackson's case was heard at a preliminary hearing Thursday at Albemarle General District Court. A Charlottesville judge decided to dismiss the charges, citing that a fingerprint on a television left by Rashawn Jackson did not mean he stole items from a dorm room.

Jackson had 16 rushes for 62 yards to go along with 14 receptions for 79 yards during the 2008 season.
