After successful senior seasons, three Virginia football players are preparing to take the field for one final college game. Cedric Peerman, Clint Sintim, and John Phillips will all suit up for the North squad in Saturday's Senior Bowl, and have been in Mobile practicing this week.
Peerman proved to be one of the best running backs in the ACC this past season, while Phillips earned first team All-ACC honors. Sintim led the nation in sacks among linebackers, so all three have more than earned their spots in the event.
Eugene Monroe was scheduled to be on the roster, but decided to pull out of the event this week for unknown reasons. He is expected to be a top ten pick in April's NFL Draft.
The Senior Bowl will kick off on Saturday at 7:00 eastern time from Mobile. Click on the above video link to view some of practice and to hear Cedric Peerman's thoughts on the event.
