The Cavalier men's basketball team saw itself in an all to familiar position Wednesday night against Boston College. A sluggish first half, leading to an insurmountable lead to climb out of in the second.
In the first half, Virginia struggled from the field. Only converting 6 of 28 field goal attempts while Boston College shot 68% from the field. Trailing by 20 at the break, the Cavs found themselves clawing their way out once again.
As the team has done so many times before, Virginia came out firing in the second half, completely outplaying their opponent 48-38 in the second half, only to be 10 points short overall.
Sylven Landesberg did have a career high 32 points, his 14th double digit performance of the season, and extended his freshman record consecutive free-throw streak to 26 in a row.
Virginia is back in action this Saturday, as they take on North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
