Dave Leitao's Cavalier men's basketball team fell for the sixth straight time on Wednesday night, and now look to snap that in the harshest of environments. Virginia will hope for better fortunes on Saturday, as the Cavs travel to North Carolina.
This week, Dave Koehn and Marc Davis recap Wednesday's game. Virginia only shot 21 percent from the floor in the first half, while Boston College shot 68 percent for the frame. Sylven Landesberg scored 26 of his career high 32 points in the second half in the 80-70 loss.
Next up for Virginia is a rematch with the Tar Heels, who topped the Cavaliers, 83-61, back on January 15. In that game, Virginia only attempted nine free throws, while North Carolina attempted 28. North Carolina enters as the hottest team in the ACC, winners of six straight.
