The Cavalier men's basketball team hits the road Tuesday night to face Florida State in Tallahassee, where it hopes to find the winning path for the first time in more than a month. Virginia looks to snap a seven game losing streak, as well as avenge a loss from earlier this season to the Seminoles.
The two teams tip off tomorrow night at 7:00pm on very different tracks. The Seminoles enter the contest 18-5, 5-3 in the ACC, and are in the national rankings for the first time this season. Florida State is ranked 25th in both the Associated Press and USA Today Polls. Virginia, meanwhile, is hoping to snap the seven game skid, and is 7-12 overall and 1-7 in the ACC.
Florida State is coming off a dramatic come-from-behind win against Clemson this past Saturday night. The Seminoles trailed by as many as 19 in the second half, but charged back to top the Tigers. Virginia fell at North Carolina, but ended a five game period in which it trailed by double digits at halftime.
Last year in Tallahassee, the Cavaliers came close, but could not pull ahead for the win, falling 69-67 to FSU. They have lost the last two contests to the Seminoles and five of the last six.
