The Virginia men's lacrosse team picked up its second win of the season on Monday, beating Bryant 10-4.
The Cavaliers got out to an early 4-1 lead in the first quarter and extended that lead to 8-3 by halftime. There wasn't much offense by either team in the second half, as the two teams combined for just three goals over the final two quarters.
Brian Carroll led the way for the Cavaliers on offense with a hat trick, while Steele Stanwick added two goals. Virginia also had a solid day defensively, holding Bryant to only one goal in the second half. Goalie Adam Ghitelman made 12 saves on the day.
With the win Virginia improves to 2-0 on the season. The Cavaliers will hit the road for the first time on Saturday when they take on Stony Brook. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 pm.
