The Madison boys basketball team kept its unbeaten season alive on Wednesday night and advanced to the Bull Run District championship game in the process. The Mountaineers topped Manassas Park, 64-38, in the district semifinals. Logan Terrell led the way with 25 points. Madison will host Clarke County in the title game on Friday night at 7:00. The Mountaineers enter that contest with a record of 23-0.
On the girls side, William Monroe punched its ticket to the Jefferson District championship game on Wednesday, topping Fluvanna, 59-44, in the district semifinal match up. The Dragons will face Charlottesville, who knocked off Orange by a 65-54 count. Tameeka Williams scored 23 points and pulled down 16 rebounds for the Knights, while Shawntae Payne scored 23 points of her own. William Monroe and Charlottesville split their regular season meetings.
Saint Anne's Belfield had no problems with St. Catherine's, winning 44-29. The Saints claim the LIS title with the victory.
