Sources have confirmed for CBS19 that Ron Prince will return to Al Groh's staff for the 2009 season. The former offensive coordinator will now assume the role of special teams coach and assistant head coach.

Prince left Virginia in 2005 for the head coaching job at Kansas State, but was bought out of his contract in 2008. He now returns to the Cavaliers, where he served from 2001-2005 as the offensive line coach, and for three of those seasons as offensive coordinator. He departed the Wildcats program with a 17-20 overall record.

This is just the latest in a series of coaching moves for Virginia. Bob Diaco was just named Cincinnati's defensive coordinator, just a little more than two months after receiving a promotion to the same position at Virginia. Gregg Brandon, Latrell Scott, and Chad Wilt have all joined the coaching staff, while Mike Groh, Levern Belin, Steve Bernstein, and Bob Pruett have all departed for one reason or another.
