Eugene Monroe, Clint Sintim, Byron Glaspy and other UVa draft hopefuls got a chance to showcase their speed and agility Thursday morning. With watchful eyes looking on Antonio Appleby, Jon Copper, Maurice Covington, Alex Field, Kevin Ogletree, Cedric Peerman, and John Phillips made their way through the weight room and did drills on the field in front of NFL scouts.

42 representatives from 29 different NFL teams made their way to the grounds of UVa. Several scouts ran the drills for the players. However, only a few opted out of some workouts as Sintim, Monroe, Ogletree, Peerman, and Phillips already attended the NFL Combine in Indianapolis this past February.

Covington stood out on his vertical-jump drill as he leaped an amazing 40 inches, impressing the on-looking scouts. Glaspy was the only defensive back in the workout and spoke to several NFL team representatives.

These players will learn the next step in their football career on April 25th, the day of the NFL Draft.
