After losing it's first game and series of the season, Virginia rebounded in dominating fashion against the Towson Tigers on Tuesday, and on Wednesday completed the mini-sweep 7-5 to improve to 21-2 on the year.
Virginia used a five-run third inning to jump on the Tigers. Franco Valdez was the catalyst in the inning. Leading off with a huge double then had David Coleman drive him in. The Cavs sent 10 batters to the plate in the third, and also had eight of their nine starters contribute hits int he 12-hit attack.
With the win, Virginia improves to 21-2 on the year, the best record in all of the nation. They'll try to keep the winning ways alive as they return to ACC action at North Carolina this weekend.
