Cavalier men's lacrosse has seen some of the toughest teams in the nation so far this season. Facing Syracuse at the Carrier Dome, Cornell at home, and squeaking by Johns Hopkins on the road surely has got to make Virginia confident going into Saturday's contest with Maryland.
The Terrapins are 6-2 on the season going into Saturday's game, and are currently ranked ninth in the nation. They also bring talent that Virginia hasn't experienced yet this season. The Terps bring two attackmen who are over 6'5" and weigh over 250 pounds. Though they are big, the Cavs will be well prepared.
Coach Dom Starsia insisted that all teams in the ACC are very familiar with each other, especially in the case of Maryland and Virginia. The Hoos' hope to rely on their speed and transition game in handling the toughness and size of the Terps.
Maryland and Virginia face-off at high noon on Saturday at Klockner Stadium.
