Cavaliers Prepare for Old Dominion

March 31, 2009

The Virginia women's lacrosse team will try to get back in the win column on Wednesday against Old Dominion.

The Cavaliers are coming off a heartbreaking 13-12 loss to Duke on Saturday despite a career-high six goals from Jenny Hauser. The loss dropped Virginia to 7-4 on the season, 1-3 in the ACC.

This will be the 5th time this season the Cavaliers will take on an in-state rival. Virginia is a perfect 4-0 against teams from the Commonwealth this season, with wins over Virginia Tech, Richmond, William & Mary and James Madison. The Cavaliers have never lost to Old Dominion in the 32 meetings between the two teams.

Wednesday's game is scheduled to begin at 3 pm in Norfolk.
