The Virginia baseball team shut out Boston College 2-0 in the series finale behind a strong outing from starting pitcher Robert Morey.
Morey pitched 7.2 scoreless innings and struck out a career high 12 batters to pick up his 1st win of the season. Kevin Arico came on in the 8th and closed out the game to give Virginia the series win.
Phil Gosselin paced the Cavs offensively with three hits and a run scored. Dan Grovatt had an RBI single in the 1st inning and Jarrett Parker had an RBI double in the 7th to account for Virginia's runs.
The win is Virginia's 30th of the season and gives UVa a conference record of 11-7-1. The Cavaliers are back in action Tuesday night at VCU. First pitch is set for 7 pm.
