The Virginia baseball team concludes a four game road trip on Tuesday in Richmond, kicking off a 13 game stretch that sees it play all of its games within the commonwealth. The Cavaliers face Virginia Commonwealth, a team that has not beaten them since 2003.
Virginia enters with a 30-8-1 record, after winning two out of three at Boston College this past weekend. The Cavs are currently one of just six team that have 30 or more wins. Last year, the Wahoos downed the Rams at Davenport Field, 5-3, and were victorious in their last visit to the Diamond as well, an 8-1 win in 2007.
VCU enters with an 18-14 record, and dropped two of three to George Mason this past weekend. This will mark the first of two match ups between these in-state foes this season, as VCU will return for a May 12 game at Davenport Field.
After Tuesday's meeting with the Rams, the Cavaliers return home for their next nine games, beginning with a Wednesday clash with Georgetown. As for Tuesday's battle with the Rams, first pitch is set for 7:00pm.
