The weather couldn't have been more beautiful at Davenport Field for Saturday's game with NC State. After winning on Friday Night 6-2 with the Wolfpack committing nine total errors, one would think NC State wouldn't have a poor defensive performance on Saturday. It wasn't the case. Virginia scored it's first run of the day on a throwing error by the NC State catcher into center field as the Cavs attempted a double-steal. Jarrett Parker came into score easily, and the Cavalier bats would not be silenced.
Parker and Tyler Cannon combined for five hits on the day as Virginia scored in four different innings to give coach Brian O'Connor his 250th career win 6-3 over the Wolfpack.
The final game of the three game set is Sunday at 1 p.m. at Davenport Field.
