Former Cavalier center Aisha Mohammed has earned a tryout with the WNBA's Minnesota Lynx. Mohammed has been signed by the club as a non-drafted rookie free agent and now will look to earn a roster spot.
Mohammed put together a stellar senior campaign in a Cavalier uniform. As a senior, she posted 12.8 points per contest to go along with 10.1 rebounds per game. Her rebounding average led the team, and she racked up 15 blocks on the season, as well. Mohammed also averaged 29.4 minutes each time out.
The former Cavalier now makes her way to Minneapolis, where she'll look to impress the Lynx coaching staff. Former Virginia guard Sharnee Zoll spent some of her rookie year with Minnesota, but Zoll is not currently on a WNBA roster.
Mohammed becomes the second Cavalier with pro potential from the 2008-2009 team. Lyndra Littles was drafted by the Connecticut Sun last month.
