With only a few games remaining in the regular season of American Legion baseball, Orange and Albemarle took their home fields looking for cruicial wins as they go down the home stretch.
After a Staunton loss pushed Post 74 into first place, Albemarle looked to keep that spot locked up as they welcomed King George to their homefield on Friday. After Albemarle took a 4-3 lead, they could not hold on as they fell 9-7 to King George.
Orange welcomed Spotsylvania to Porterfield Park. Nick Bledsoe took the hill for post 156. In his last outting, Bledsoe took down Albemarle but could not continue the hot streak against Spotsylvania as they put the hurting on Orange 13-3.
