Linebacker Cam Johnson has a new NFL home.
The Indianapolis Colts acquired Johnson from the San Francisco 49ers on Monday for an undisclosed, conditional draft choice. The Virginia alum played in two games as a rookie with the 49ers last season, after spending most of the year on the team's practice squad.
Johnson is coming off a strong preseason performance with San Francisco. He recorded eight tackles in four games, and finished tied for the team lead with three sacks.
Johnson was a seventh-round pick by San Francisco in the 2012 NFL Draft.
