Central Virginia Passing League Kicks Off in Charlottesville

In search of a way to get his players moving during the summer, Charlottesville High School football coach Chris Fraser called Western Albemarle High School football coach Ed Pierce and brainstormed the idea of seven-on-seven football games to get their quarterbacks arms stretched out and receivers and defensive backs legs loose during the summer with football and school right around the corner. Two other teams hitched on to the idea and joined up as well as Albemarle and Monticello teamed up with Charlottesville and Western to form the first meeting of the Central Virginia Passing League on Wednesday.

Coach Fraser says that it gives players a chance to interact with their teammates earlier and reach out to other teams for the better of the Central Virginia community.
