Friday's opening round of the Reines Jewelers Men's City Championship at Meadowcreek saw several low scores. The lowest coming from Brad Ferguson who fired a four-under 66 to take the lead into Saturday's second round.

However, Ferguson stumbled a bit on his back nine after a double-bogey 11th, he fired back with two back to back birdies on the par 5 12th and par 3 13th to remain at one over on the day. However he could not get it going from there at remained at one over to go three under heading into Sunday's final round.

The two leaders heading into the third and final round are Jerry Burton and Paul Kane. Kane carded a five-under 65 and Burton finished with a three-under 67 as they both head into Sunday with a two stroke advantage on the leaders.

Kane and Burton will be paired with Ferguson and Wes Eklund in the final group on Sunday which will tee off at 10:10 on tee number 10 at Meadowcreek.
