Grovatt and Barr Named Cape Cod League All-Stars

Virginia outfielders Dan Grovatt and John Barr have been named Cape Cod League All-Stars. Both will start for the East squad, Barr as designated hitter and Grovatt as an outfielder.

Grovatt has played in 19 games for the Harwich Mariners, and is hitting .294 on the season. He has four doubles and eight RBI to go along with one triple. Barr has appeared in 15 games for the Brewster Whitecaps and holds a .310 batting average. He has five doubles and four RBI on the year.

Each 21 player team was selected in a meeting of the league's ten managers. Ten starters, eleven reserves, and four alternate players make up each team.

Grovatt and Barr are two of eight Cavaliers taking the field for action this summer in the Cape Cod League.

The match up will take place on Thursday, July 23, and be played at Fenway Park in Boston.
