The Virginia men's soccer team fell to George Mason 1-0 in overtime in its first exhibition game of the season.
George Mason's Parker Walton scored the game's lone goal in the 92nd minute to lift the Patriots to the victory. The Cavaliers did outshoot Mason 19-5 over the course of the game though and held a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.
The Cavaliers play their second exhibition match of 2009 Monday night at Old Dominion. They'll open the regular season September 4th at the Nike Portland Invitational.
