Forward Kelly Hartig has transferred from the University of Virginia, and is no longer part of the Cavalier women's basketball team. Head coach Debbie Ryan made the announcement on Tuesday.
Hartig appeared in 34 games for the Cavs last season, averaging 1.4 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. She started 32 of those contests, and played in 26 games during her freshman season in 2007-2008.
Hartig cites personal reasons for transferring from Virginia. The Highlands Ranch, Colorado, native will return to her home state and attend the University of Colorado-Denver beginning this school year. Hartig says that she has no plans to continue her college basketball career.
