Cavalier Women Win Home Opener Against Liberty 5-0

1,060 fans were in attendance on Friday night at Klockner Stadium as the UVa Women's Soccer Team took on the Liberty Flames in their home opener.

Meghan Lynczek scored the first goal of the regular season for the Cavs in the seventh minute of play. Virginia would tack on two more goals from Caroline Miller and Jess Rostedt to take a 3-0 lead at the break.

Two minutes into the second half Lauren Alwine scored off a cross from Caroline Miller. Kate Norbo tacked on the final goal of the night for the Cavs as they walk away with a 5-0 win.
