The stage was set on Friday night in Providence, R.I. Michele Madison stood on the sidelines awaiting win number 250 of her career. However, the Friars had other ideas.

Providence scored just over seven minutes into the game to give the Friars a 1-0 lead. In the second half, Virginia took over. Freshman Tara Puffenberger scored two goals to give the Cavaliers the win, and coach Madison her 250th of her career.

The Cavs continue their road trip on Monday, as they travel to Old Dominion.
