49-15-1. The best record a Virginia baseball team has ever put together. That record in 2009, combined with an ACC championship, a first ever NCAA regional win, and a first ever super regional win led up to Virginia's first ever appearance in the college world series. An appearance which was cut short by LSU.

However, after such a successful season the Cavaliers were honored at the football season opener for Virginia on Saturday, and again on Sunday at the Washington Nationals home game against the Florida Marlins. A game which fittingly ended with a walk off homerun by former Cavalier Ryan Zimmerman.

The Cavs will begin fall practice in preparation for their 2010 campaign on Sept. 7th.
