Virginia Women Prepare for Clemson

September 26, 2009

The Virginia women's soccer team returns to action Sunday against Clemson.

The Cavaliers had their seven game unbeaten streak snapped Thursday with a 2-1 loss at NC State, dropping their record to 5-2-2 (0-1-0 ACC). The Tigers are coming off an overtime loss at Virginia Tech on Thursday to fall to 3-6-0 (0-1-0 ACC). Both teams will be looking for their first ACC victory of the season.

Virginia is undefeated (5-0-1) in the last six meetings with Clemson, but the Tigers hold a 10-8-1 advantage in the all-time series. Last year the Cavaliers beat the Tigers 7-1 at Clemson.

Sunday's game is set for a 2 pm kickoff from Klockner Stadium.
