Parsons' Picks: Week 4

October 2, 2009

All three games you'll see on our family of networks should be pretty close. Here are my picks for Week 4.

We begin with the 1pm game on CBS19, Ravens vs. Patriots. Yes, I am wearing a Ravens jersey, so you might think I am being a homer, but I am going with the Ravens. I think Tom Brady and Randy Moss will test the Ravens secondary, but the Ravens defense will do just enough in this one. Baltimore's offense will carry the day, as the Ravens improve to 4-0 on the season.

Moving to the 1pm game on WAHU FOX27 between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Washington Redskins. The Skins let me down (along with everyone in the Washington D.C. metro area last week), but I am not giving up hope on them just yet. If there's one team that's in a worse situation now than the Redskins, it just might be the Bucs. I like the Redskins to bounce back from that embarrassing loss to Detroit and beat the Bucs.

Finishing up with the 4:15 game on WAHU FOX27, Cowboys vs. Broncos. I am not sold on the Broncos even though they are off to a 3-0 start this season, but I am less sold on Tony Romo because of his inconsistency (Redskins fans, you'll appreciate my commentary on Romo in the video). The Broncos defense has been solid so far this season, so I like Denver to take down the Cowboys and stay undefeated.
