Virginia running back Mikell Simpson has been released from UVa Medical Center following an injury he sustained during Saturday night's game against Indiana.

Simpson suffered a neck injury in the 3rd quarter of Saturday's game and was taken to the hospital after being carted off the field. He will follow up with a UVa team physician for further evaluation this week.

Simpson ran for 83 yards and a career-high four touchdowns prior to leaving the game. The Cavaliers will go for their third straight win Saturday when they take on Maryland. Kick off is set for 4 pm from Byrd Stadium in College Park, MD.
