Brandon Guyer went 3-for-4, including a first inning grand slam, as the Cavaliers Baseball Team cruised past George Mason, 17-6. Guyer finished the day just a double short of the cycle.
The senior's grand slam came as part of an eight run first inning, which put the Cavs comfortably ahead for the remainder of the game. Virginia pounded out 20 hits on the afternoon, and was led by Guyer, David Adams, John Scaglione, and Mike Mitchell, who all had three hits. Guyer and Adams each finished the day with four RBI.
Virginia's record now improves to 23-5, 16-1 at Davenport Field. They'll host Longwood tomorrow afternoon at 5:00, before departing for Virginia Tech for a weekend series on Friday.
