Isaacs Resigns as WAHS Head Football Coach

WESTERN ALBEMARLE'S STEVE ISAACS ANNOUNCED YESTERDAY HE IS LEAVING THE WARRIOR PROGRAM TO COACH AT WAYNESBORO.
ACCORDING TO A PLAYER ON THE SQUAD, THE COACH MET WITH THE TEAM YESTERDAY AT LUNCH TO ANNOUNCE HIS RESIGNATION.
ISAACS WILL REMAIN ON THE WESTERN FACULTY AS A MATH TEACHER FOR THE REST OF THE SCHOOL YEAR, BUT THEN WILL HEAD TO THE LITTLE GIANTS PROGRAM...HE RESIDES IN WAYNESBORO
A COACH FOR SEVEN YEARS AT WESTERN, ISAACS LED THE WARRIORS TO A 5-AND-5 RECORD LAST YEAR, AND THEY JUST MISSED THE PLAYOFFS.
WESTERN ALBEMARLE ATHLETIC DIRECTOR STEVE HEON SAID TODAY HE HAS ALREADY BEGUN A SEARCH FOR ISAAC'S REPLACEMENT AND HOPES TO HAVE THE SPOT FILLED BY THE MIDDLE OF MAY.
