Al Groh and the Cavalier football team enter November in hopes of turning things around and ending strong. It will all start with a trip to Miami this weekend and the head coach talked about this match up during his exclusive weekly interview with CBS19's Marc Davis.
Groh talked about his offense, as the Cavs have been hovering around the 200 yard mark in total offense in their last three games. He says the team is working towards getting all eleven pieces of the offensive puzzle to come together.
A hot topic has been that of true freshmen seeing playing time, as 14 true freshmen have seen action this season. Groh says that it all comes down to whether or not they can help the team win.
The head coach says that the big thing with Miami is speed, and that this is the fastest team the Cavaliers will see all season. The Hurricanes are led by sophomore quarterback Jacory Harris who Groh speaks highly of. Harris led the Hurricanes to a 24-17 overtime win in Charlottesville last season and has come a long way since then.
Groh also talks about the last trip down to Miami, a 48-0 win over the Hurricanes in their final game at the Orange Bowl.
