Virginia men's soccer has been red hot as of late, having not lost a game since early October. The Cavs are locked in to the ACC tournament already, but looked to improve their seeding with a win over NC State on Saturday night at Klockner Stadium.
Virginia threatened early and often in the first half. An acrobatic bicycle kick from Neil Barlow grazed the crossbar early in the period nearly giving the Cavs their first score. Barlow made up for it minutes later. He nudged a small pass off a free kick to Ross LaBeaux and he took care of the rest. Slamming into the back of the net for the only goal of the contest.
Virginia walked away with a 1-0 win to end their regular season with a 12-3-2 mark overall, and 4-3-1 in the ACC.
The Cavs will travel to Cary, NC to begin the ACC tournament next week.
