Taylor Boyers is the captain the Buckingham County High School Football team. He and the Knights are steamrolling into the playoffs with a perfect 10-0 regular season record.
Coach Craig Gill attributes a lot of the teams success this season from Taylor's leadership, and having him around makes his job a bit easier.
Taylor's success goes well beyond the playing field. He maintains a 3.4 grade point average, while playing three sports at the Varsity level. On the baseball field and basketball court, Taylor has received multiple awards individually. He was named all-district for both sports in his Junior year.
If there is one thing Taylor Boyers would like to accomplish before his season is over, it would be winning the state championship with his football team. That journey begins on Saturday, as the Knights travel to Gretna in the first round of the Regional Playoffs.
