Blue Ridge hosted Nansemond-Suffolk Academy in the VISAA championship game Saturday afternoon, but unfortunately the Barons were not able to send their fans home happy. Blue Ridge was never able to get into a rhythm offensively and fell to NSA 17-0.
Buckingham took on Gretna in the Region B, Division Two semifinals and this game certainly lived up to the billing. The Knights took Gretna to overtime before falling by a final count of 28-22. Buckingham finishes the season with an overall record of 10-1.
